Logan is 10 Months Old!

I can hardly believe I'm going to be a year old in 2 months. I am having a great time! I'm cruising all over the place on my hands and knees and on my feet. My two bottom teeth have emerged and are almost all the way out. I feel the need to grin even more now. I've become really attached to my big sister Ella. I look for her every morning I wake up and if she's not awake yet, I make sure to crawl to her room and push her door open. If that doesn't do the trick, I squeal or screech until she wakes up. I still have somewhat of a predictable schedule. I take a mid morning nap for about 30 minutes and then I don't take my mid afternoon nap unless I'm 100% positive that Ella is down for her nap as well. I prefer to be awake when she's awake. I really love playing with her and making sure she's settled and happy before I'm able to rest. She really enjoys playing a couple of games with me: "I'm going to Get You" and "Hide and Seek" and "Get Out of my Room or else I'm going to close the door on you". She's a bowl of fun and giggles.

Ella's pretty protective of me as well. She always makes sure that Mommy and Daddy know to "check on me" if she hears me stirring anytime during the day or night. She also looks out to make sure I'm not picking up lint, crumbs or stuff that I shouldn't be putting in my mouth as I'm crawling around and exploring.

Ella offers me toys that she is no longer interested in playing with in exchange for any of the toys she seems me playing with. Sometimes I get upset when she takes toys from me, but most of the time I'm fine just looking around for other toys to play with. Overall, we enjoy being together and I think she is the BEST Sister I could ever have!

Logan is 9 Months Old

I've been pulling myself up to a standing position all by myself this month. I just started cruising around the furniture and trying to take my first steps. Mommy thought it would be a fun idea to take me and Ella to the Lyon Village Park here in Clarendon and take some pictures of us playing in the freshly fallen autumn leaves. Mommy really enjoys taking pictures of us as much as possible.

Logan is 8 Months Old

I'm crawling! And I'm getting my two front teeth in! Well, at least I can feel some little buds underneath the gums. The bald spot on the back of my head has disappeared, my parents have told me. My parents tend to tell me that I'm a "very happy, laid back baby". I'm happy that they think so. I'm not sleeping thru the night. I still wake up every two hours for a 5 ounce bottle of milk. I have been sleeping in one extra hour though--allowing everyone in the house to get one more hour of sleep than they were the last 7 months. I'm eating solids now. Mommy and Daddy especially enjoy feeding me "Ella's Organics Pureed Baby Food" and "Plums Organics Pureed Baby Food". They came in BPA Free aluminum colored pouches. They are very delicious. I've been eating them now for over a month. I've enjoyed eating since Day 1.

Logan is 7 Months Old

Hi Everyone! I hope you're all doing very well. I'm doing very well. I can sit up on my own now without any support and I'm trying to rock back and forth in an effort to begin crawling. I'm having a lot of fun with my big sister. She pretends to read books to me and we play blocks together and "bumper cars" with Ella's scooter and my walker. Mommy walks us to two or three parks every day for "Playdates" in our double stroller. I really enjoy getting pushed in the swing at the park while Ella goes down the slide or plays in the sandbox or with her friends. Here are some pictures of my "Day to Day" adventures.

Summer Vacays 2010

This summer was pretty fun! We had lots of little "mini vacays" with Mommy and Daddy. We went to a few beaches all within a couple hours drive from DC. We spent weekends at: Halperin Beach, Rehobeth Beach, Chesapeake Beach, North Beach and Virginia Beach. We also spent a weekend in New York City and a weekend in Richmond, Virginia. The Beaches were awesome! I really really enjoyed myself. Daddy bought me a shovel to dig in the sand and I jumped in the surf and let the waves splash against my legs. I had a ton of fun. I also enjoyed swimming in the pools of our hotels. "Baby Logan" enjoyed it too. My Mommy wouldn't dream of letting you guys see her in her bathing suit, so you will see pictures of us with Daddy in the pool and on the Beaches.

Here are some pictures of the awesome Petting Zoo we visited while we were in Richmond. It had some really beautiful gardens and waterfalls. We had a really really fun summer as a family!

Ella and Logan Happen To Like New York

We finally had an opportunity to take both of the kids to our favorite city for a weekend. It went really well. Logan is a very laid back, "go with the flow" baby and Ella is a "take charge, can't miss the action" toddler. We stayed in the Battery Park/Financial District for the first time ever. It was fantastic because we discovered that it was the most conducive area to raising young children and having a family. There were lots of little parks within walking distance of our hotel. And all of the restaurants seem to cater to those with strollers and small kids. There were two parks in particular that were our favorites. Hudson River Park and the Kiddie Park inside of the large park. There was also a small Water Park with a very long slide only two and half blocks from the Embassy Suites (where we stayed). Here are some pictures of Ella and Daddy Dave enjoying the water during this perfect weather weekend!

While visiting, we took both of our children to all of "staples" like The Time Warner Center, Jean George for Sunday Brunch--where the Rapper, T.I. walked across the restaurant on his way out to compliment how "great" Logan was being inside the restaurant. He said "What's up 'Little Man'" and that nickname has kind of stuck ever since. The Jonas Brothers were staying inside of the Trump International Plaza (a true "sign of the times") located next door, so it was really hard to find parking in that area (that's right Daddy Dave really enjoys driving in NYC and he's very good at it and good at finding parking spaces there too.). Mommy Angelica was waiting for Dave and Ella for over an hour inside of the restaurant, so it was very sweet to hear how well our little bundle of joy behaved from "one of the locals". We had dinner at Nobu Next door and met some fellow Ohians after Ella almost kicked over a very expensive bottle of wine on their table. We had a really great time and allowed us to truly connect with each other and realize how lucky and blessed we truly are.

We all happen to like New York!
