I'm 13 Months Old

Hi! I'm 13 months old! Are you wondering where I am? I'm actually visiting the 911 Memorial at the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia in this picture. My uncle Albert was in town visiting and it was a very beautiful day.

I really enjoy the outdoors a lot. I can't get enough of being outside. I have discovered that I enjoy playing with sticks and stones. I really enjoy taking the sticks and pretending to write on the yard or sidewalk with them. I also really like to throw stones to see just how far I can throw them.

It doesn't quite matter what the weather is like outside, I will have a great time no matter what. I figured out a way to communicate to my parents to let them know when I'd like to go out and play. I have several techniques. One is taking our doggie Lexie's red dog carrier bag and commanding Lexie to "Get". Once Lexie gets in the bag, Mommy or Daddy has to take her out to potty and in turn, that means I get to go out too. (Smile)

Another technique is by grabbing my favorite pair of shoes and Mommy's keys and walking up to our living room door and trying to insert the key in the lock and turning it. Mommy gets such a kick out of this, she laughs and puts my shoes on and takes me out. My last strategy is to grab my parents shoes and their keys and politely walk them up to either Mommy or Daddy and ask in a very sweet voice "Get?" Works like a charm!

I am beginning to say a few more words and I think I understand their meanings. My favorite word right now is "Daddy". Other favorite words in my vocabulary include: Mom, book, good, hi, milk, the and get.
