Inauguration Eve


Brrrr! It is cold outside here in Washington DC! My parents took me to the U.S. Capitol on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to celebrate his Birthday and the fact that his dream has come true!
We walked right in front of the US Capitol where we were able to take a few pictures less than 12 hours before the swearing in of President Barack Obama. 

My parents bundled me up in 2 layers of clothing plus my coat, my hat, mittens, socks and booties, a blanket and the cozy afghan that my Grandmother Talan made for me. My parents bought a waterproof fleeced lined nylon baby carrier cover to go over my stroller for the winter. It is very similar to a sleeping bag. 

The weather was 18 degrees outdoors, but it felt nice and cozy for me. It was better for us to go stand on the grounds were history was made the night before than to bear the cold for hours upon hours on the day of....
